Space Maintainers
If your child loses a primary tooth early (before the permanent tooth is ready to erupt), Dr. Nguyen may recommend the use of a space maintainer. If a space maintainer is not put into place, other teeth can grow into the space left by the primary tooth, which can cause issues with bite and appearance later on in life.
